INDICATIONS:

Masood's Biogen 20 Dermicon is indicated for the supportive treatment in skin and scalp infections, skin eruptions, eczema and itching.

SKIN

Skin is the largest organ of body. Its function is to protect body from infection. Sometimes the skin itself becomes infected. Skin infections are caused by a wide variety of germs, and symptoms can vary from mild to serious. Mild infections may be treatable with over-the-counter medications and home remedies, whereas other infections may require medical attention.

1. Bacterial skin infections

Bacterial skin infections often begin as small, red bumps that slowly increase in size. Some bacterial infections are mild and easily treated with topical antibiotics, but other infections require an oral antibiotic. Different types of bacterial skin infections include:

• cellulitis
• impetigo
• boils
• leprosy

1. Viral skin infections

Viral skin infections are caused by a virus. These infections range from mild to severe. Different types of viral infections include:

• shingles (herpes zoster)
• chickenpox
• Molluscum contagiosum
• warts
• measles
• hand, foot, and mouth disease

1. Fungal skin infections

These types of skin infections are caused by a fungus and are most likely to develop in damp areas of the body, such as the feet or armpit. Some fungal infections aren’t contagious, and these infections are typically non-life-threatening.

Different types of fungal infections:

• athlete’s foot
• yeast infection
• ringworm
• nail fungus
• oral thrush
• diaper rash

1. Parasitic skin infection

These types of skin infections are caused by a parasite. These infections can spread beyond the skin to the bloodstream and organs. A parasitic infection isn’t life-threatening but can be uncomfortable.

Different types of parasitic skin infections include:

• lice
• bedbugs
• scabies
• cutaneous larva migrans

Scalp infection:The scalp can become infected if fungus or bacteria enter the scalp through the hair follicles or damaged skin. Skin damage can result from common skin conditions, such as psoriasis and eczema. Bacteria cause some common infections, such as folliculitis and impetigo. Others, such as ringworm, are fungal. Symptoms vary between infections, though most cause redness, itching, and sometimes pus.

COMPOSITION:
Each tablet contains: Calcium Fluoratum 6x, Calcium Sulfuricum 6x, Kalium Sulfuricum 3x, Natrium Muriaticum 6x, Natrium Sulfuricum 3x each 20mg w/w and excipients Q.S to tablet weight.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
No evidence exists for any established interactions with food or other substances/conventional medicines. Data derived from laboratory studies and healthy volunteers does not shows any of the serious effects of illness.
ADVERSE EFFECTS:
No adverse effects have been reported or observed till date. However existing symptoms may get worse temporarily when homoeopathic medicines are taken. Some individuals may experience sensitivity to the lactose in the tablet base of the remedy. Although the overall risk of homoeopathic remedies causing an adverse effect appears to be low. It is better to consult a Homoeopath instead of self medication which might results in negative effects due to improper diagnosis.
INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER SUBSTANCES:
There is no evidence that homoeopathic remedies interfere with other substances. Alcohol, tobacco and unhealthy life style may effect the efficacy of Homoeopathic remedies so try to avoid these habits for achieving best results. It would not be anticipated that there would be any interaction with conventional medicines.
DOSAGE:
As directed by the registered homoeopathic doctor.
Adult:4 Tablets 4 times a day with every 3 hours interval.
Children:2 Tablets 4 times a day with every 3 hours interval.
WARNING:
Take tablets 30 minutes before or after meals. This medicine contains lactose and wheat starch. Store in a cool & dry place.
